The second day began the non-paved path through the BR 163.

After the leader of group, Sérgio Holanda give an interview to local TV, participants followed to Novo Progresso. That was the objective in this day. Meanwhile, the poor state of the highway delayed the displacement.

In the first day on dirt road with the falling rain, they had the first "Off-Road" moment.

After many kilometers in the dirt road, with many holes the jeeps are required to stop in the village of Castelo dos Sonhos, due to repairs on the rack of Xterra. It was giving problems since the beginning of the journey. The cause was the excess weight.

Pause for dinner, a delicious fish of the region and fraternization between members of the group

The third day continues through the BR-163. This time, the route wich they traveled was longer. Due to lack of road conditions, was necessary travel at night.

After a long journey participants are stopped by a big truck mired on the middle of the highway. It blocks the road. This slows the movement of group, but yields pictures of the suffering of the population that depends of that Federal Road.

After much effort of other trucks and the local people the road was released.

The objective of this day was come very close to the city Itaituba, but sometimes the road allowed the cars to walk 80km, sometimes to less than 20 km.

To worsen (or improve) starts raining and the road is quite slippery.

It is night and everything is more dangerous. In a decline, the Hilux of Sérgio slides and stops next to a ditch. In another time, Eládio slides 180 degrees and beating gently in the ravine.

In another time, the group found two residents of the region. Theirs car is broken and they are there for many hours. The group helps them towed to the nearest village.

The whole path was covered in rain, strong or weak, but constant, and very slippery mud. The driving skill of the participants was placed in evidence in this route..

The end of the ride was in the village called Caracol 23:00 pm, where participants stayed.

Jericos:

Jericho is a "homemade vehicle" built with parts of all types of cars, trucks or light trucks, with engines of all types (including stationary diesel motors). In most cases, is not much more than is necessary for transport (chassis, engine, wheels and body) and are characterized by lack of stop-mud, bumpers, windscreen, cockpit, safety belt and sometimes, not even seat. Those vehicles are very common in this region of the Amazonas state.
